Description:

To understand the security technology, you will sell and support as an installer, it is necessary to first understand the basic electronics upon which this technology is built. This course will provide a fundamental understanding of the basic electronics concepts and components that make up security technology.

 

What you will Learn:

Understand what electricity is made of, how it flows and its parameters. Use simple formulas to do basic electronics calculations while using the numbering system to make values simpler and unmistakable. Understand how some electronic components work, their purpose and where to use them. Know the importance of electronics such as relays and switched to ensure they are properly used within relevant circuits. Understand the purpose and method of using a multimeter for testing and troubleshooting.

• AC vs DC power.

• Electricity and its Common Parameters (Voltage, Resistance & Power).

• Electronic Calculations (Ohms Law and the Power Triangle).

• The numbering system.

• Electronic Components.

• Different transformers, power supplies & batteries.

• Switches, fuses, and relays.

• The multimeter

 

Learning Outcomes:

A better understanding of the basic electronics that make up security technology.

Installers, solution integrators, and technicians who intend to install, support, and maintain security technology.

Basic Electronics is a Self-Study only course. That means that there will be no live webinar training for this course, only the online, self-study option.
