About the event

Course format:

Face-to-Face (classroom) – Product code TR06-1

E-learning (self-study) – Product code TR06 – Optional webinar

Prerequisite: Network Fundamentals

Description:

Whenever there is a need to connect multiple networks, or a single or multiple remote devices to a central/main network, a wireless link may provide the solution while saving both time and money.

This course will cover the concept of wireless links along with the technical elements that should be understood to setup a stable wireless link between networks/devices, including frequencies, specifications, components, calculations, and fine tuning. Software and specking a link will also be covered.

What you will learn:

Understand the wireless link concept and learn about the frequencies used in wireless communication, along with the components that allow a wireless link to operate. Learn about link specifications and specific equipment to understand how the correct equipment is chosen for a particular wireless link. Lean how to adjust setting to fine tune the link to achieve stability and maximum performance. Discover useful software for planning long links and the proprietary software used to manage the wireless link devices. Understand best practices and considerations for wireless equipment choice and installation.

Training Course Overview:

• Understanding the Concept.

• Frequencies.

• Main Components.

• Link Specifications.

• CPE, Antennas & Base Stations.

• Link Calculations.

• Link Adjustments (Fine Tuning).

• Software & Spectrum Analysis.

• Specking a Solution.

Learning Outcomes:

Choose the correct equipment for a particular link. Establish a basic link and fine tune for best performance.

Who Should Attend?

• Technical staff who will install, support & maintain networks & wireless links.

• Sales staff who select network & wireless link equipment for quotation and sale to meet customer needs/requirements.

• Managers how oversee technical/sales staff relating to networks and wireless links.
